Toronto Homeowners Urged To Check Insurance Coverage
August 25th, 2009 Categories: Home Ownership, News Wire
How fitting IS it that the seventieth anniversary of the release of “The Wizard of Oz” (that would be August 25, 1939) occurs just days after tornadoes ripped through southern Ontario?
With respect to weather and other natural phenomenon, Toronto seems to be ideally situated, geographically speaking. The weather, and the reactions to it, can be extreme at times, but we rarely find ourselves in life and death situations. And on behalf of everyone, a big thanks for that!
We might not live in Tornado Alley, but the events of last Thursday certainly demonstrated that we aren’t immune from violent weather, and the damage and loss that can occur.
And speaking of damage and loss, when is the last time you checked the details of your home insurance coverage? Are you adequately insured? Do you know, or do you think? Based on your situation, do you have the necessary add-ons or riders?
Don’t wait until a disaster occurs to find out your coverage is inadequate. Take a few minutes to review your policy, and call your insurer with any questions or concerns.
