Bank of Canada Cuts Interest Rates. Will Toronto Home Buyers Find Their Confidence?

The Bank of Canada has just announced that its key lending rate (the target for the overnight rate) has been cut by 25 basis points to 0.25%. And that conditional on the inflation outlook, commits to hold it there until the second quarter of 2010. Front Door Fascination: Palais Royale

As a Toronto real estate agent, I’ve seen my fair share of front doors. Front doors are interesting — they can be beautiful, falling off their hinges, squeaky, often a mismatch for the house — I never know what will click. I dunno, maybe the appeal is that you don’t always know what lies behind a door.

On yesterday’s chilly bike ride I swung by (heh!) the Palais Royale, a remodeled dance hall located in the Sunnyside Beach area, and shot this photograph. I love the reflection in the glass, lots of activity flying by those doors. And one is slightly ajar. Why?

A Beautiful Proposal: National Park Status Sought For Rouge Valley

Looking South On Sewells RdOnce or twice a year I find myself cycling through Rouge Park. And as difficult as it is (at least for me!) to climb north on Sewells Rd., I’ve always loved that stretch of the ride.
