Pie, I love thee so. And if condos were the pie on the Toronto real estate market dessert table, Toronto home buyers love them too.
Consider this: Urbanation, a firm that conducts residential highrise condominium market research, was recently quoted in a Toronto Star article on condo sales. With 249 projects currently being marketed or in the construction stage (representing 58,000 units), Toronto is the largest condo site in North America. And it is anticipated that this year, for the first time, condos will likely outsell lowrise houses with a greater than 50 per cent market share. I’ve often thought we’re living in one big construction site these days!
Toronto Condo Resale Market Strong
They’re everywhere, and Toronto home buyers are snapping them up, resale included. The latest Toronto real estate market statistics indicate that in November 2007, 25.1% of single family residential sales were condo apartments. This is second only to the sales of detached houses.
Toronto Condo Pie Recipe
So, what makes a great Toronto condo pie? Lots of things, and in the days to come I will be blogging galore about all things condo.
It’s a great form of home ownership. That being said, I find that owners who are most satisfied with their slice of the condo pie are those who have made their purchase decision based on a good understanding of the condo lifestyle and its associated issues.
If you are thinking of buying a condo, or currently own and would like a better understanding of this type of ownership, I’m sure you’ll find the articles helpful. If you would like me to address a specific topic, send me an email and I’ll try to get some good information on the blog asap.
And if you’d like to share your favourite (edible) pie recipe with the blog, please do!

I love Condo pie! I have a San Diego slice myself. The one interesting thing I found in the post from the star.com was the perspective of buying a condo is somehow “settling” which I do not agree.
Living in a condo is a desire for most. Maybe you could talk about that?!?!
Hi, Chris:
I’m glad you liked the article. Lots of people in Toronto agree with you that condo living is a very desirable lifestyle. Because it is! And I will write that article for you.
